Introduction

During the 20th Century, life became increasingly multi layered and fast paced. The Marketplace spheres (or mountains or domains) of influence began to dominate public life competing for the Families’ time, resources, affections, and ambitions. As these spheres grew in complexity and power, they often drew people’s attention away from the Church (the eternal family) and from God our Creator.

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.” (1 Timothy 2:1-6 ESV)

Today, instead of simply praying for these spheres, we engage them through consultation, dialogue, and strategic collaboration. We work with leaders, practitioners, and influencers across each domain to explore how Biblical wisdom, Kingdom governance, and Christ centred values can shape culture, decision making, and long term societal health.

The spheres we consult with include:

  1. Family
  2. Church (Ecclesia)
  3. Government and the Military
  4. Trade and Finance (Business)
  5. Law and Justice
  6. Religion and Philosophy
  7. Arts
  8. Education
  9. Charity and Not for Profit Welfare
  10. Health and Science
  11. Media and Entertainment
  12. Sport and Recreation

To a great extent, God has been pushed to the margins of these societal spheres. The consequences have been significant: corporate ethical failures, escalating physical and mental health burdens, relational breakdown, and even global financial instability driven by artificial wealth creation divorced from Godly principles.

Even the Church has often adopted a Greek worldview that separates the sacred from the secular dividing Sunday from Monday. This has limited discipleship to a small portion of believers’ waking hours and weakened the impact of the Great Commission.

Yet the Marketplace is where Christians spend 67% of their waking time Monday to Friday. It is here in the workforce, in the boardroom, in the classroom, in the hospital, in the media studio, and on the sports field that character, integrity, and Kingdom identity are tested and revealed.

If a Christian’s Monday behaviour does not reflect their Sunday belief, why would anyone trust the belief?

From this we conclude that the Church’s greatest influence on the world will not come primarily through programs, valuable as they may be, but through excellent discipleship expressed within every sphere of society. This is the original Commission of Jesus in Matthew 22:37-40, Matthew 28:17-20, and John 17:18.

Our principles are God’s principles: “…on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:19)

We live in a time of grace where both good and evil produce order or disorder according to our obedience or disobedience to God. Human free will and God’s sovereignty operate side by side.

God calls all people to Himself through truth and kindness, though not all respond. He is not responsible for human sin, and He will ultimately have the final word.

Every person will be held individually accountable for the life they have been given (John 3:16-18). The day will come when Jesus Christ returns to rule and reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords over the whole earth from Jerusalem (Micah 4:1-8).

Therefore, our confidence is in Christ, the Son of the Living God (John 3:18), and this is where we stand.

Our mission is to connect, consult, and equip people who are passionate about advancing the governance of Christ in every sphere/mountain/domain of influence. We encourage Christians to live out the Great Commandments (Matthew 22:34-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) in everyday life across all denominations and affiliations.

Our ethos is vibrantly alive around nine magnificent truths:

  1. The government rests on the shoulders of Jesus, and His government and peace will never end (Isaiah 9:6-7).
  2. The offices of Jesus in Heaven and Earth are Prophet (Hebrews 1:1-2), Priest (Hebrews 4:14-16), and King (Revelation 19:16).
  3. The three institutions of God on earth are Family, Government, and Church.
  4. Church and State have separate jurisdictions under Jesus He is High Priest over the Church and King of Kings over the State.
  5. Society operates through spheres/mountains/domains with many sub domains.
  6. The foundations of the Kingdom of God are Justice and Righteousness (Psalm 89:14).
  7. The power of God works through all spheres/mountains/domains.
  8. Jesus Christ will come again to rule and reign over the earth.
  9. Our connection with God is through humility, faith, and obedience (Matthew 18:4; Hebrews 11:6).

We implement these truths by consulting with, equipping, and encouraging church and marketplace leaders who represent their spheres of influence helping them discern, strategize, and build Christ centred governance within their domains.

It’s very comforting to know that you are engaging in prayer over these areas of life. In sport where every club needs a sports chaplain for example. Club members are exposed to many different temptations and need to know that God can heal, and help them fight temptation.

Lilian, thank you for your ministry and for being faithful to God’s calling. Your website is very refreshing and poignant for todays world. Thank you for your prayer strategy and your research. Unfortunately, I think we need a constant reminder in todays world, that we were bought and paid for with a price. If I was to sum up one word for our societies ills today it would be “distractions.” Some are good, most are bad. Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” All Christian Churches in the west need to reevaluate their priorities and sphere of influences. They need to help in deeds, not just words. A top priority should be to help our persecuted brothers and sisters in the Lord. Keep up the great work! Shalom and Maranatha!

Pray that as the birth pangs of our rapture as Christians will inspire us the Church to pray for everyone to come into the kingdom and be ruptured with the church so they do not have to go through the terror that is to come. To see the beauty of Christ’s plan of Salvation before it’s too late. May this be our motivation and our prayer while there is still time and the door has not shut.

What refreshing website, to find a website about prayer and the “Spheres of Influence” the main topic is what prayer has been about in the last 20 years or more.
The change of season currently underway in the body of christ has caught many unaware of what the Lord has been re-emphasising for some time now. “Go Ye into all the world and preach the Gospel”
The church has been dabling in the “Spheres of Influence” for some time, but unfortunately has become experts in locking up the revelation in the four walls of the church. We the church have became experts in Church government, church family, church media, church entertainment at the expense of taking the gospel out into the world.
There must be a change of direction from leaders in the body of Christ to re-educate its people in the great task ahead.
The Lord in His wisdom has allowed large giants to ahead of us and occupy the (promise land) spheres of influence , they must be dislodged.
Most of all, the task ahead will require the love and wisdom of a new type of promise land leadership mentality. The task ahead is so profound, God bless you Lillian and your prayer strategy for the days ahead. We will signup and be a part of your great vision.

Thank you very much for the kingdom work you are doing. Prayer is man giving God permission or license to interfere in earth’s affairs. In other words, prayer is earthly license for heavenly interference. I FULLY believe that the Church and the state need our prayers as never before. Let us pray until something happens. Shalom!

Prayer is the key that unlocks the gates of heaven and allows the free flow of the Holy Spirit to work in us and through us to the establishing of God’s Kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven. I just spent a weekend with nearly 100,000 prayer warriors to humble ourselves and repent from the sins of our country and our own hearts. And I know we were just the tip of the spear that will push back the powers of darkness and bring the Light of the Gospel into the darkest places on the planet…that is the hearts of people who have never received Christ. I love this prayer effort and fully support it. We are the army of God and prayer is our most powerful weapon. Onward Christian soldiers!

We are engaged in a discussion of evangelism at the center with spokes of ministry radiating out from that center. However, prayer is not a spoke, but should be at the center to undergird evangelism.
–Prayer is primary to prepare and empower Christian men and women to go forth with evangelistic fervor and direction.
–With prayer (individual and corporate) as our preparation and our seeking of the Lord’s marching orders, evangelism is the pursuit, or action, of the Lord’s heart.
–Since prayer is about Him, “it’s not about getting our needs met, it’s about participating with Him in His universe-wide project to accomplish His will.”*
–“One of the things that happens when we pray is that by doing so we thereby acknowledge that we know we’re not going anywhere on our own. Neither is the church. It is not willpower. It’s not organization. It’s not talent. It’s not even right theology. It’s Him.”*
–“He deputizes us to be His instrument on behalf of others. He invites us to become part of the army ‘standing between’ heaven’s invitation and the deceptions of the destroyer.”* It is a solemn and joyous assignment to join with Jesus as intercessors for the lost.
    (* Don Jacobsen, Okay, All Together Now…, pages 50, 51, 53)

I agree. Prayer is the hope. Faith is the action which makes our hope visible. Love for both God and our neighbour is the outcome. All three work together. We must do all three to be effective in overturning ungodliness.

Since the public statement by a well-known sports person about what the Bible says about sins, we have seen people both inside the church and outside of the church react with a very hostile attitude. This clearly indicates the following points:
      1) The church has not been teaching its congregations what the Bible actually says and that sin (without repentance) results in the eternal death penalty.
      2) Laws in the land need to be reviewed so that quoting from a Bible (a book in the public arena in Australia for more than 200 years) is not a crime.
      3) People who profess to be Christians, need to be “seen to be Christians” in “the streets and lanes” of our society on a daily basis ~~ not just for one hour on a Sunday, before the sports match starts.
That is why a site like this, which promotes action in all areas of social and work-life is so important.
More Christian organisations need to support this page and be seen to be active outside the 4 walls of the church building.
I support this initiative and hope other Christians will do likewise.

      Hello
My name is pastor Austin from UK. The Lord showed me in a dream a few hours ago that Satan’s strategy for 2020 is to make the church have Zero impact. The Lord then showed Gen 49:10 as a solution that the sceptre must not depart from the Church. We are the new tribe of Judah according to Hebrews 2:11. Please let us pray that we shall have influence and impact on the 7 mountains.
