"First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,"

Engaging in Sustainable Business in a Godly Way (excerpt)
(By Jane Jeffery M.Ed ACU, Education Director ICGS and CIB)
Well run sustainable businesses create finances, the funding needed for families to live and the church to continue
with its mission to the world. This is beyond doubt one of the important reasons to be engaged in the marketplace.
However there is another and one which will touch at the heart of the mission to transform Sydney. To truly
transform Sydney each of us must fully engage in the activities God has called us to, also to perform these tasks in
the way He wants then done. As the Christian business people of Sydney engage in business in a Godly way they
will be part of the process of attracting others to Christ.

Offering Prayer for Your Business
(By Bjorn and Lilian Schmid)
We know that your workplace or business is important to you. Former occupants and present employees
have left their emotional mark in your work environment. This can lead to an entire range of
problematic issues. People naturally bring their feelings and to work with them.
Spiritual and Emotional impacts are real and have a real effect upon the business environment. From the past and
present some spiritual forces can accumulate in the work environment and can lead to lack of productivity, employee
dissatisfaction, unnecessary anger, lack of profits, a general feeling of unease in the environment, and much more.
We can pray for your spiritual need and business need as well. Your privacy is guaranteed, nothing is recorded.
Very often, your current workplace or business is in a physical environment that has had a history of other businesses
being there. Some of these businesses may not have been financially successful or have failed morally or ethically to
try and be successful. It may have had spiritual attacks or curses (e.g. as a result of broken covenants/contracts/
agreements), so operating your business in an environment that has a poor spiritual and/or emotional history can have
a profound effect upon your business right now.
The Lord wants to clear this now right and for you to invite the Holy Spirit to enter in every space of your business
and financial situation.
Prayer for Business, Finance, Trade
Father, we come to you in the name of Jesus. Thank you for the Holy Spirit that is present before us as we discuss our financial
future in Australia.
We thank You for bringing us to this place in our lives - a place of learning how to be better stewards for our economy and
our country. You have started a good work in us and will perform it until the day of Christ’s return. We welcome You as
the head of our government, our banks, our industry, our financial organisations and in all our business dealings, that is
pleasing to You and to each of us.
Jesus is our Lord and our high priest, and we purpose to bring Him the first fruits of our economy and worship You, the
Lord our God with them. We ask you that you bless our economy and deliver every Australian business from the evil one,
we say that Your word will not return to you void, but will accomplish what it says it will do.
Therefore, we believe in the name of Jesus that all of our needs are met according to Your riches in glory. We acknowledge
You as Lord over our finances by giving tithes and offerings to further Your cause.
Thank you for giving us your heart concerning our budget.
Thank you for blessing our finances, in Jesus name, Amen.
